I've got thick hair, which I often spike with wax, but I'm looking to try and start using the Vo5 matt clay or the Vo5 texturised gum.

My hair varies from short to medium within the space of 3-4 weeks so I'm looking for one that I can ideally use to spike when I have both medium and short hair.

Which one would you reccommend and what's the difference between matt and clay?

    Cheers!

I use clay and also have thick hair. I think clay gives a more matt finish than gum.

The matt clay is pretty good, has a really good hold for spikes etc.

Yeah, clay is a lot thicker and so has more hold and gives more texture
