Most girls don't really get complimented by guys often if ever, so you can't be to ugly. And they probably weren't talking about you anyway.
If 50 people say things about you, and 1 says something mean don't focus on the tiny proportion who were negative! I know it's hard because I'm exactly the same, but focus on all the positive compliments you've got and forget about it.
