After having accepted sheffield as my first choice, was wondering if any current undergraduates could tell me where i should be applying for my accommodation?

    Any suggestions are welcomed!

I have the same question. Endcliffe or central? I'm 20, studying Economics which is on the other side of the uni to Endcliffe (as far as I know) and my girlfriend is at Hallam so would obviously want to be close to her. Is it still worth applying for Endcliffe over city/central?

Well since everyone took ages in replying (no offence...) I went blindly into the unknown and booked central

It looks great tbh.. i specified that i wanted to be in Opal 2, which looks to be about a 5 second walk from the ringroad around which the uni seems to be located..

Plus my sister is at UCL and she thinks the idea of a student village is weird..

Opal 2 is pretty nice, lots of cliquey international students though. Is very close.

And of course your sister would find a student village weird if she goes to university in London!

I personally am going for Endcliffe, but I am sure the social side of things is great everywhere, so don't worry about it

BTW there is a great Sheffield accommodation thread here: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show....php?t=1454498 if you haven't seen it already

If you want to be closer to your gf at Hallam then Central might be better, but you might want to consider EVERYTHING before you make your choice, as there is more to it than location
