Think the information on their emails about the "Less than 10%" is probably the reason why hardly anyone has heard. I would of thought there would be at least some people popping up but it sounds like they have all been handed out. Unfortunately.

Artfanatic I think you're right. WHEN has the Slade ever handed out a second batch of interviews 5 days after the first batch. Less than 10% is a surefire indiactor that we won;t hear from anyone (cept Megan's friends who have an interview). Sad, lonely times

I am now fully prepared to meet my maker,... I'd prefer the cut clean and swift o frenchman, and may the lord protect our king *cough*inaccurate WOlf hall reference*cough*....

I'm preparing myself for the likelihood of rejection now at least we are able to talk about it, makes things a bit better

I'm thinking if I do get a goldsmiths interview/offer would you guys accept it or apply again next year to Slade & Goldsmiths (if you get in first time probs get in again)

If you get an offer from Goldsmiths take it. But for anyone that doesn't even get an interview at Slade I wouldn't bother taking foundation and then reapplying... it's only worth it if you get an interview and then they ask you to take one. Because in a year what is the likelihood you will get in the next year. There are plenty of good unis other than Slade.

    Good Morning to Everyone!!
Yesterday I switched on my computer at about 7:30a.m(Greek time)(5:30 in Britain) in the morning and received officially through UCAS(6:30a.m) my 1st rejection from Wimbledon..(.after been interviewed on the 17th of Feb).Today I received the second rej from Goldsmith..Keep walking..!!:titan: Although my applications proved to be unsuccessful, I still found it a valuable learning experience and I do understand that there was much competition for the places I applied for...Still have my chances with Slade....??..Hahaha..

Thats a shame to hear Artamorgos, Goldsmiths and Wimbledon are both very competitive courses as is the Slade.... still your positivity is admirable!

On another note, if rejections are being sent out from Wimbledon/Goldsmiths are we any closer to hearing of our rejections from the Slade?? fingers crossed...

I just heard back from the Slade at 15:00 and I have made the interview:

This is what was written in the email, other stuff was included like how to get to the Slade etc. but they were standard copy and paste jobs.

"UCAS application to the Slade School of Fine Art....Thank you for your application for undergraduate study at the UCL Slade School of Fine Art...The examiners looked at your portfolio with interest and I am pleased to be able to tell you that we would like you to attend an interview at the Slade on Thursday 12 March 2015 at 4.10pm. Given the huge number of applications we had this year, this is a notable achievement in itself so congratulations for reaching this stage"

I am not entirely sure what to say or think, initially I was pretty ecstatic but then I thought its only an interview and it the wait was torture.

I can only hope that you lot are in the same boat and also receive an interview asap!

    Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some advice since I'm not from the UK.

I've applied for the fine art BA in CSM, Chelsea, Goldsmiths, SLade and kingston.

So far, I've got interviews for CSM, SLADE and Chelsea, Still waiting for GS and Kingston.

My practice is very interdisciplinary. Which is the most cutting edge, subversive of all?

I really don't want to be in a room full of goody-good rich students which notion of subversive is something they took from tumblr.

All advice opinions are welcome, thanks x

    Well done that is fantastic!
It is ashame that at most fine art uni's you have to pick a certain practice. I believe Chelsea and Goldsmiths allow you to deviate from your specialism a bit more, whereas Slade you just have to practise one skill. From going to the degree shows, I liked Goldsmiths the least. It was very mixed and I didn't really understand any of it - it all seemed a bit far out. I was very impressed with Chelsea, their textiles and sculpture was fantastic. As with Slade... I feel that the people at Slade are very themselves and their work is purely from their ideas. I mean. I don't have any experience as I don't go to any of these places.
Which one did you like the most of when doing research?
I guess you will have to judge from the feel when you do your interviews.

Where are you from? Do you have a portfolio to show us?

    Well done :-)
