Repeating second year

I currently study Biological sciences and I'm in my 2nd year. I'm basically failing. I was wondering if I did fail would I be able to repeat my second year and if I did would my marks be capped at 40%?

You should be able to repeat. There's a couple of students on my course who should be in 3rd year but are having to repeat 2nd because they failed a module.

Not sure about marks though.

Marks are generally capped with any resits, but if you can get a doctors note saying that you are suffering from anything at all (stress etc) in the run up to or during exams then you should be allowed to resit and your resit marks shouldn't be capped.
