    Hello,

I have received a letter from one of my choices saying that due to extreme competition I was unsuccessful this year for a PGCE with history. The letter then says that I have however been placed on the reserve list for the institution.

Just wondering if anyone else is in the same situation? How many people will make reserve and is there any chance of getting on after being on the reserve list?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I also was initially rejected from PGCE History at Nottingham and placed on the rejection list however on Friday they rang me to say that they had been allocated ten more places and offered me a place! So there is hope!

    Where did you apply?

Leeds Trinity University. Congratulations on getting a place, the history applications have sky rocketed this year and competition has been ridiculous!!

I wonder how they managed to get 10 more places after all the cuts and after allocations had already been made! Heres hoping though

Maybe they allocated places but the students turned the offer down as it wasn't their firm or insurance? xx
