# C4 help!!! Integration watch

1. Q.INTEGRATE......(2X+1)*(X^2+X+5)^ 1/2.dx

well i did (x^2+x+5)/2*(x^2+x+5)^1/2

then i got (x^2+x+5)^3/2 OVER 3/2*2

I GET (X^2+X+5)^3/2 OVER 3

WHEN THE ANSWER IS REALLY 2 (X^2+X+5)^3/2 OVER 3

ASSISTANCE WUD BE APPRECIATED

soz for the double quote...but wont u den divide it by 3/2*2??? Or wud u times it with anything?....since (2x+1) intregrated is (2x+1)3/3*2 ????
6. just integrate the ((x^2)+x+5). Its derivative is right next to it - this is a case of the reverse chain rule.

This is the chain rule :

f[g(x)] = f'[g(x)] * g'(x)

Since the derivative of the composite's inner function , g(x) , is sitting next to it,
g'(x), then you know that you just have to integrate the f'[g(x)] term to get
f[g(x)], the original function!
