I'm applying to do Geography BA next year, and am predicted A*AAA (including General Studies) i've secured 5 offers and narrowed it down to Leicester and Leeds.

I've been to open days at both and both have massive pros and cons but i'm wondering whether some of my preconceptions are false and influencing my decision.

Leeds offered me AAB excluding General studies. I loved the city, the campus and the SU especially and the accomodation also seemed good and varied too. I've heard nightlife is also amazing. But in comparison to Leicester the department seemed somewhat dated and lacking in the same level of facilities. The course was also excellent, but not quite as good as Leicester. I was also concerned at the size of the uni, as it was huge with lots of students and I felt I may feel like another brick in the wall.

Leicester on the other hand had a much more intimate appeal, in both the department and the university. The department was brand new and with excellent facilities and the course was also the best I've seen. However, i've heard that the nightlife had limited choice and that the city is a bit run-down. The reputation of Leicester and oppurtunities were also not as good as Leeds, which would obviously be important after graduation. Their offer was ABB, including General Studies.

Any advice or just comments would be a massive help, just to make sure I've got the right impression of the universities.

Ah these were my two favourites for firm also...
I ended up choosing Leicester because of the size thing but also as Leicester seems rather well known for my subject, Genetics, so it just made sense..
The citys seems boring though and I've been up there to stay with my sister quite a lot...

This is my worry, that I'll get bored in Leicester and wish I'd picked Leeds. It's like a choice between the best course and the best city and uni, which is difficult.

Lol, but if you're already at Leicester, how will you know that you'd be less bored at Leeds??
I ended up choosing the better course, hoping that if i get extremely bored i'll go back home to London for a weekend for some fun lol.
