# Young's Modulus. watch

1. I've solved a lot of questions like this before but I can't get answer to this one. I used the formula E = Stress/Strain
Stress: = F/A and Strain = extension/Length

I assumed force to be same for both wires and changed the diameter and length accordingly to find young's modulus of second wire. I got the young's modulus of second wire as 8E, which isn't the answer!

So whatever quantity we keep on changing, the young's modulus remains constant, right?

yeh it remains constant for a particular material. they were just trying to trick you to make sure people know what they're talking about
