You'd have to define "prestige" and then say why it might be important to you.

If you exclude what your peers, parents, parents' friends think, then any difference is probably minimal.

A survey of the Association of Graduate Recruiters (who represent most of the large traditonal recruiters of graduates) showed that 1/3 target up to 10 unis, 2/3 target up to 20 unis. RH and QM, regardless of their merits, will not be in most employers' top 10 but might scrape into their top 20.

"Target" means putting on special events, attending recruitment fairs etc. People can and do secure positions with these employers from other unis - not through what they get out of their uni's "prestige" but from what they put into uni in terms of academic performance, extra curriculars, volunteering, work experience and curriculars. You could have a 2.1 from Oxbridge and still be rejected on the first cut.

Having said that, one of the ways that employers cull the hundred/thousands of applicants is A level grades/UCAS points. 300 would be the bare minimum for many schemes, some specify 340. This is one reason why Oxbridge grads and Oxbridge reject grads continue to dominate many of the most "prestigious" careers.
