    To cut a long story short, I graduated from university last year and was lucky enough to walk straight into a very good job (pay & enjoyment). Now I have _no_ problems meeting people, getting on with them & have been told I am a naturally very likable character, The only issue is I work in a very male dominated company (engineering, defence based) and dont get exposed to many women. I go out regularly with friends (always a big male group though) and go to the gym regularly (chatted to plenty of women in the pool/steam room) but am yet to meet anyone I have clicked with.

    Now, a lot of people at work have tried online dating. I have never been too sure about it but having tried it realised it is full of people who I find attractive both photo & personality wise (what they say in their profile anyway). I have been trying it for a few weeks but havnt had much luck. As a result I was hoping some of you (esp girls) could comment on what I have put down and hopefully let me know areas I could improve on.

    I am very lucky in the sense that I have my own house, nice car, daughter (living with my ex), and very lucky in the sense I have no money problems. All at the age of 23. I am too scared of mentioning any of these due to them being a taboo subject/off putting to single women, early 20s (esp my daughter ).

    My profile reads below;

    If you got this far then hopefully my pictures didn't put you off too much! Now, I really really wish modesty worked online, I hate sounding like this & selling myself but 'apparently' being out going & confident works online! really!?

    Well...all that matters is you'd never be left disappointed with me. I'd make you laugh, make you blush and you'd be proud to introduce me to your family & friends. You would never be bored, lonely or embarrassed around me and you would go to bed with a smile on your face having met me. I love life, am very lucky in life and wouldn't change much in it at all!

    I go to the gym 3-4 times a week (I hate it, but it keeps me from falling asleep in front of the TV), have a job I really enjoy and love socialising. I enjoy everything from meals out to clubs to just plain old quiet nights in under a blanket with a good film. I have been lucky enough to have travelled extensively throughout the world (Africa especially) and look forward to doing so in the future. I play golf and tennis and swim regularly, as well as enjoying more exotic hobbies like deep sea fishing & off roading (parents used to live in South Africa).

    I signed up here due to being new to the area & working in a very male dominated company, which makes for great banter & time spent in beer gardens...but doesn't make meeting women very easy. Combine that with nights out involving a large group of [intimidating?] guys and women might as well be something I only hear about in books....

    Can anyone advise or suggest changes? Should I put in my daughter or would that put people off?

    many thanks guys

    (tl;dr - sorry!)
