I've decided I should do something productive this Summer and do something to improve my UCAS for applying to universities next year. I have NO IDEA (nope, not even the broad category) of what I want to do at the moment so I guess things can't be too specific... I've been searching online for the past week or so for summer internships/programmes in Glasgow and have come up with nothing - all want graduates or those in certain years of studying their degree

Academically I'm aiming for all A's at Scottish Higher level so really I'm just concerned about my extra cirricular activities:

I play guitar, drumkit and sing (I get tuition in all) but I haven't sat any exams for any of them... I don't particularly like the whole 'you-need-to-know-this-to-be-this-good-at-guitar' opinion. But if this would aid my future UCAS I'd maybe consider doing some exams.

I did a week of work experience in HMV in the stockroom as a school project. Though I don't know how relevant this is as it was a relatively short time period.

I also do the odd job at my mother's work (Toyota) - just doing clerical things and delivering leaflets etc. Again, I've only done this a few times...

So yeah, if anyone has any recommendations of programmes/companies/general things to do to improve my UCAS then do tell

You could do some reading around a few different subjects and see if anything interests you. If you're applying next year you probably want to pick a subject sooner rather than later.

Yeah I just have absolutely no idea about what I want to do. I spend ages looking online and doing career tests but there's nothing that catches my eye
