I saw 2 missed calls on my phone earlier (whoops, it was on silent) but both times the people didn't leave a voicemail. In fact, very few people leave voicemails on my phone; mainly my parents and one of my friends but no one else seems to. Is there a reason for this?

    Do you leave voicemails?

People don't usually seem to for casual things, I rarely leave one, its easier to text. Work always leaves one if I ignore them but that's about it.

Most people hate talking to a machine... it's very uncomfortable.
Also, if you were just ringing becuase you were bored/wanted to talk to someone, there's not much point.
It there's a specific reason for ringing, i'll leave a voicemail.

i hate talking on answer phones (dislike talking on phones full stop so not gonne bother talking to a machine if i can avoid it) so i will usually either ring back later or just send a quick text in regards to why i phoned then talk to them later. also it costs money to listen to messages so would rather people didnt leave a message unless it was actually important and most people who know me are aware of this, though i do get answer phone messages from time to time/every couple of months or so.

I try and avoid leaving voicemails because I know it'll cost the other person money or use up minutes from their contract. Also talking to voicemails is horrible and awkward :P texting after trying to ring somebody is nicer!

I have no reason to leave voice mail. If it's really urgent I can send a text.
