    I'm a girl in a long-term relationship.
I don't think my boyfriend watches porn. I don't know why, I just don't think he does. I know he masturbates (obviously) but that doesn't bother me at all. It wouldn't bother me if he watched porn, unless it was particularly violent or disturbing.

I hate it when girls do this, it gives us all a bad name. "OH NOEZ HE'S WATCHING PORN ZOMG!!1!1" :facepalm2:

I don't know why so many people have such an issue with it, personally I think it can be fun to explore together. I wouldn't give a toss if I was dating someone/in a serious relationship with them and they watched porn, and I would hope they would afford me the same. People watch porn, get over it. Having problems with a guy or girl watching porn is just immature in my opinion.
had a conversation about this with my gf, and she says she won't be with me if i watch porn because she feels cheated and disrespected that i would think of ****ing other girls to come rather than her... that's not how it is though. how can i make her understand that??

I never used to watch porn, but my current girlfriend does and introduced me to the amateur stuff. I can't get turned on unless I know that the girl involved is genuinely enjoying herself, and the girls in professional porn seem to be in pain half the time. Not very nice watching.

But yeah, amateur porn is cool. But I rarely watch that either, to be honest. Guess I've never really needed much "alone time".

Maybe suggest watching it together? A lot of girls underestimate that.

My bf doesn't watch porn anymore, he prefers pictures I send him. But he has used porn before I started sending them Been with a few years before people call me stupid for doing it etc...I don't think he masterbates loads though, like once a week/every two weeks. We have sex quit a lot though.

Back when my first relationship was ending and I was getting bored of her. I used to close my eyes and pretend I was ****ing a pornstar. I came much harder and she thought she had become a better lay.

I am a girl and I watch porn even more when I am in a relationship cause I want sex more and sometimes I can't get it. I like to watch group porn however it absolutely doesn't mean that I would like to do this in a real life. It's just a thing that turns me.

    Hi everyone,

I'm conducting a study on pornography, and would be interested in knowing your views on its usage within a relationship. The poll is unfortunately restricted to males; however, views from both genders are welcomed in the discussion below.

Topics for discussion would include reasons for consumption, reasons for change in consumption, and girlfriends' views on the matter (which are valued highly).

Hope you can help me and thanks!

Not in a relationship atm, but when I was, I maintained the amount of porn I watched for ****ing rather than reducing it despite having regular-ish sex. Even now with casual sex (not strict relationships/girlfriends) I haven't reduced it.

In fact the only thing that changes with a sex buddy/girlfriend/ONS is that I imagine the pornstars to be them... isthatbad
See, the last bit is what I would worry about. If he watches porn regularly and jerks off to it, but is then thinking about me when we're having sex, I wouldn't mind. But I knew he was picturing some pornstar whilst ****ing me, I would be upset. Obviously I'd never find out - so I guess I'd have to accept it. (I wouldn't my boyfriend thinking I'm insecure).

Reduced, but only due to the sex. To be honest I don't really know where I stand relationship wise though... will my girlfriend think she doesn't satisfy my needs if she finds I watch it a fair bit? She knows I do, but never really thought about how it makes her feel, if anything.

I know my ex watched it before he was with me, and whilst he was with me he stopped. INFACT, when we walked past La Senza in our first few weeks together, he shielded his eyes - Absolutely hilarious at the time. I never told him to. It doesn't really bother me, so long as I don't have to hear about it. I know he started watching it again nearing the end of the relationship, and I doubt he's stopped now.

Your question implies that people only have sex when in a relationship...
You know, regular sex is also possible without that.

Regardless of relationship or not, or whether I am in a period of lots of sex or not. I always try to keep it down because then I get horny and when I get horny I tend to get sex.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but I've never found porn very exciting. Am I just not looking in the right places?
