I'm just beginning to look into my History IA, so what I'd like to know is, do the IBO want several small sources (letters/cartoons/short speeches etc.) or bigger sources, (Mein Kampf type books/film documentaries etc.)?

Also, what were the sources that you used/plan on using?
    Thanks in advance!

A mix of both is best. And, for the evaluation of sources, you want to try and get 2 different types (eg, a primary cartoon, and a secondary book)

We were told to use a minimum of 5 sources for ours.

I used mainly books, as I struggled to find anything else on my topic, but it's generally considered better to use different types of sources.

    Hope that helps
