# Fleming's Left Hand Rule, Right Hand Rule and the Clock Rule. watch

1. I don't understand any of the rules above, and someone explain it and how to use it in simple terms
2. The left hand rule is the motor rule, which is a force created by a current and a magnetic field, right hand is the reverse the generator rule, a force/motion in a magnetic field creating a current.

I remember the nemonic Manchester Football Club, for motion, field, and current going them thumb, forefinger, middle finger.

With the direction of field and current, you need to remember the convention is the direction a positive charge would move. So field is north to south, and current is positive to negative.

For the last bit I assume you mean the right hand grip rule?
The direction of the field around a current carrying wire, with the thumb denoting the direction of the current.
3. Flemings Left Hand Rule - Used to determine direction of force from B (magnetic field) and I (Current).
Thumb = Force [F]
1st Finger = Magnetic Field [B] (North to South)
2nd Finger = Current [I] (Direction of POSITIVE charge)

Flemings Right Hand Rule is used to determine direction of induced current.
Thumb = Force [F]
1st Finger = Magnetic Field [B] (North to South)
2nd Finger = Current [I] (Direction of POSITIVE charge)

Clock Rule - provides direction of current
Make an L shape with your hand and point your finger in the direction of the magnetic field (into/out of the page) and rotate your wrist in a clockwise direction and that will provide the direction of current.
4. FLEMING'S LEFT HAND RULE :-
Thumb--Thrust (force)
Fore finger--Field(magnetic field)
Center finger--Current

FLEMING'S RIGHT HAND RULE :-
Thumb--Thrust (force)
Fore finger--Field(magnetic field)
Centre finger--Induced Current

Lol thanks for telling me. I don't need it anymore, finished physics forever.thanks anyway
