    Hi there,

Basically, got my history A2 coursework mark given back today from my teacher, in which I got a D, being my raw mark, not scaled by UMS. This seems to me heavily off what I should have got compared to other students, I know I haven't got the best relationship with my teacher (head of department) and curious to get it remarked by possibly AQA, is this possible, obviously with a fee attatched, how can I go about getting this remarked basically.

I have gone through all the marking criteria etc, and honestly believe it is higher. Need a B overall as well to get into uni which is obviously upsetting after this mark.

Cheers in advance. - Basically is it possible for me to pay a fee for it to be moderated/re marked by AQA?

What you believe is irrelevant to be fair, students often overestimate the quality of their work. If it is sent for moderation then it will have been checked by someone else. It will also have been internally moderated and thus possibly looked at by other teachers.

Has it been marked as in you have a certificate? If so you may be able to get a remark in much the same way as an exam.

If not then ask what you can do to improve it.

They aren't allowing any more time with coursework, she is claiming it is the final mark to be passed to the exam board, to moderation (but mine possibly won't be going, as it is random correct?).... Cheers

I don't know why it shouldn't. Couldn't you just get another history teacher(s) to re-mark it to check the mark. If not, go on the AQA site and send them an email or find out if they re-mark coursework. Although, the teacher might have been harsh with her marking so it doesn't go down in moderation or else everyone's grade will drop. I'm sure AQA moderate the coursework during May/June along with other teacher's judgements while marking before it gets sent off.

If you don't trust your teacher's judgement, surely you could try these things. If not, bad luck

All you can do is ask for another history teacher to have a look at you coursework, although its possible they already have looked at it.
