i hav got an offer for MSc advanced computer science from sheffield university and
an offer for MSc advanced software engineering from Durham university. What i know is both universities are highly reputed in uk and internationally as well.
So i cannot quite decide which 1 should i opt for. PLZZZ help !!!

Moreover when i browsed through the websites of these universities, i found that the courses (both the above mentioned courses) are not accredited by british computer society (bcs). is it bad, like bad enough to reconsider my university options?

Well Sheffield are higher in the league tables than Durham for Computer Science if that means anything to you but I would just go for which course you prefer the look of and place you want to live.

I think Sheffield has a stronger CS reputation than Durham, although Durham arguably has a stronger overall reputation (if only being for Oxbridge rejects...). BCS accreditation isn't a massive deal tbh. Unless you're planning on becoming a Chartered Engineer.
