    Hello , dear all !
I have offers from all the universities I applied for, but my problem is that I still do not know which one to choose. Mostly, I am hesitating between The University of Aberdeen and Abertay University in Dundee.I have offers from these universities for Management studies.I've dropped my third offer for Risk Management ,from Glasgow Caledonian University because General Management seems more practical to me. I've explored some comparative websites , and I still couldn't decide which one to point as my firm choice . As I saw Aberdeen is more prestigious, but the living costs are higher there. Would you tell me your opinion, please which one would you choose and why, taking into consideration the development after such a Bachelor's degree, the living costs and the city where the university is located. I will be grateful.
    King regards!

I may be biased but I can tell you for certain that a 1st from Aberdeen well hold more weight than one from Abertay or Caledonian.

    Hello , dear all !
I've already created such a thread , but in the section about Aberdeen universities only, but I want to read more opinions , after all it is a very important choice , and the decision is killing me ... My question is - which university is better for studying management (Bachelor's degree)- Abertay in Dundee or The University of Aberdeen ?Please , tell me your opinion , considering the city , the management program , the student society and the living costs . I will be grateful, if somebody who has experienced studying in one of these universities will answer me or if you haven't please tell me why would you choose one of them ...
    Thank you!

Have you visited both? I would tend to agree wih what other people have been saying, but it's also important to consider how happy you're likely to be, as this can impact how well you do. If, hypothetically, you would be less happy at Aberdeen, and this affected your academic performance and your degree classification, it would arguably have been better to go to a slightly less prestigeous university where you would have been happier and thus performed better. It might be worth looking at some relevant graduate jobs now and seeing what background they prefer to take graduates from - it may be that they like firsts from any university, or perhaps they prefer firsts and 2:1s from 'better' universities.

It's also worth considering the lifestyle which will be imposed on you by living in either city, and look at the details of the different modules on offer to see how closely they match your interests. If you know exactly what you want to specialise in, it's worth checking how well each university caters to your interests. Also check how well they accommodate your other interests, e.g. if you're very keen on rock climbing, the facilities available might affect your decision.

You have to ask yourself would your management degree be better from Abertay or Aberdeen? Probably not, a management degree is a management degree just like a sausage from a sausage factory, they go in a prime bit of meat but they all end up sausages. If i were taking a computing degree Id ask myself would my computing degree from Abertay or Aberdeen be the same and the answer is NO, Abertay is much more respected in Computing and after looking at the syllabus and speaking to friends who have graduated they all said "Stay away from Aberdeen".

I lived in Aberdeen for 16 years and think the place is a bit of a hole, but thats my opinion, also with your degree you'll graduate with a good knowledge of polish and about 15 other languages and thats just by going to the local shops and interacting with the local populas.
