    Right, I just learned that the student loan company will only finance tuition fees and maintenance loans for 4 years.

    My maintenance loan is less than my accommodation costs, but I think I'll be able to manage. But if I can't apply for these loan in year 5, university life will be difficult.

    In year 5, we need to apply for something called a NHS bursary. Is this a similar amount to the student loan and what are the terms for application and repayment?

    The NHS pays the fees for the 5th year too. Information is here:http://www.nhscareers.nhs.uk/details...lt.aspx?Id=557
    The bursary is non repayable, but is means tested, I believe.

    The bursary is ****. It isn't anywhere near as much as the student loan.

    I've already had a look on that page.

    I was hoping people could tell me about the process and the range you can get.
