Am currently temping via a recruitment agency with a really good company. Happy with the job and the people I work with but the pay is relatively poor at £6.50 an hour, which is paid through the recruitment agency. The company have asked me to come back pernamently after my contract is over with the agency and they say Ill be hired straight through company.

A few of my colleagues have said to me this is my best and only time to negotiate a good wage before I start otherwise I will regret it. Obviously I want to get paid more than 6.50 an hour but a minimum of whatever the company have been paying the agency, but does anyone have any ideas of how much the agency will have been charging? A friend said the agency would be charging them about £10 an hour, but this sounds abit much?!

Any negotiating tips? My work colleague has said to aim very high....but I dont want to look too demanding therefore abit silly!
