I was having this discussion on another thread the other day. I have not passed my test but I hated lessons so much and I was so nurvous my legs were shaking so bad the clutch would almost go up and down like a yoyo (I could control so it my the was no preasure going on the clutch otherwise it would have been dangerous).

But yep I guess I hate driving. I have two aunties both with licences neither of them ever drive because they hate it. My mum won't even go in the car unless its just to the local shops.

Yeah I live in South Manchester which has the busiest bus route in Europe the buses are like every 1 minute and don't stop running till 3:30am! By unviersity charges more than £3 a day to park. The city centre is near £5 for two hours to park. Basicaly I don't need a car at all. A car would just drain all my money and I wouldn't even enjoy it anyway.

I have not given up with driving for ever, I was at test standard and probably still am with a little practise, its just I have far better things to spend my money on than wasting £80-£90 per failed test. I would rather wait till I have a job.

ooh lucky u! yea, where i live it's fairly small, nd ppl in my yr with cars just don't understand why i still like to walk!, i mean it's nice to get some fresh air and exercise! lol!
yea driving is totally not worth it, money vs potential benefits vs stress (for me anyway!) and is v overrated...for the moment anyway...

i've got a rover 114 gsi...i dunno if u think it's fast or slow, but the fastest speed limit where i live is 40mph....nd i'm not particularly bothered about going too fast esp cos a couple weeks ago, a guy died in my yr for speeding... :frown:.....tho it is fun going fast, i'm kinda scared...u never think something like that could happen round here...

what car do u have?
nd also boys always seem to like driving more than girls anyway, and annoyingly pick it up quicker too...

you can always take bus, they've brought the fares down this year (it's now 40p)
I'm scared of learning to drive, in particular of going down hills.

To be honest, i'm afraid to learn how to drive. Cos i never keep my mind on one subject for too long. It's always changing. So i am afriad that i'l hit another driver.

Add to the fact that i like walking, and my whole social life is in walking distance.

You have somed up how I feel about driving 100%. Though all my social life is a 20 minutes bus ride away.
