Hello everyone, this is really just a brief question which I want to ask really. I'm studying French & German at A level and during the period where you are waiting for your results in august and not attending school, i'd rather do something productive rather than laze about. I'm wanting to work either in France or Germany to prove I'm active and want to be submersed in the language. I've looked at the common places such as NST, but they don't need seasonal staff. So basically the question is, do you know any place where i may work in France or Germany speaking English & one of the foreign language?

    Many thanks

you could have a look on aupair websites to see if anyone wants an au pair for shorter than two months, or if you know anybody from france or germany, even if its just a language assistant, you could ask them to see if there was any local work? i don't know, thats my best guess...

Whilst on an Aupair what do you have to do? I've looked into it and i'm guessing it varies amongst each place you go to. On your experience what did you have to do?

looking after children is the general idea...mostly i think the point is for the children to speak english with you, at least thats what has happened with everyone i know who has been an aupair, but you get to speak the language on your days off, with the extended family, etc. taking the children to the park etc, just generally entertaining them? im sure it varies, you could probably find someone who suits what you would like to do quite easily?
