I'm not completely sure where to ask this question but it is sort of health related so I thought it belongs here.
Anyway, I need glasses and I recently got my first pair. I don't really like the style of these so is it possible to go back and get another pair? I'm not sure if it would be allowed as they are providing glasses to improve eyesight rather than providing glasses as a fashion accesory... it's just I feel self-conscious wearing these.

Well..just ask your opticians then. lol

Do you still want to keep the current pair? I think some opticians offer a 'cooling off period', if you're in that you may be able to swap them.
If you want a new pair in addition to your current ones, you are free to buy them, but I don't know if you'd be entitled to help with the cost (assuming you got the first pair partly paid for by being in full time education/under 16 etc)

If you've used an NHS voucher or whatever for the pair you have, you won't be entitled to claim again until your next eye test.
So yes, you can buy a new pair of glasses but you'll have to buy them yourself - lenses and frames.

I don't think you'll be able to swap them, you'll just have to get a new pair. Well, mine is an independant opticians so they probably can't afford to. If you;re with specsavers or something they might. I would ring and ask
