    Hi!!!

I was just wondering...what is it like being a trainee solicitor in the UK?

What does a trainee solicitor actually do?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Completely depends on the (type of) firm.

For city-corporate, a trainee amends documents, manages transaction processes (liaising with the other side, clients etc), handles day to day tasks for more senior fee earners, and runs completions (if any good). If lucky will also get to do some drafting, and loads of department specific jobs. Hours can vary from 9.30 -> 6.30 average to 9.30 -> 11 average, again depending on department and firm.

Its high stress, high effort but high reward and the people tend to be intelligent and interesting.
