    HELL yes. GCSE's are VERY important for Cambridge and Imperial. It can distinguish the better of two very close candidates. i.e If one has an A*, the other a B in, I dunno, Geography or something. They look at your whole application, reference, PS, and gcse's are included

    Then how will they look at people with no GCSE's at all?

    What do you mean...? If they are internationals and have done some other form of exams, they will expect high grades from these instead.

    If you have no gcse's or equivalent grades, there is no point in applying to the above uni's at all.
