I was wondering if there's a possibility of retaking the first year of university under extenuating circumstances?

Over the past year, I've had so much going on, outside of uni, that my mental health has suffered. Unfortunately, this has lead to me finding it impossible to leave the house for days on end. It feels like everytime I get anywhere near getting things back together, something else comes along and screws everything up. I know I should have asked for help from my tutor before, but I don't know where to start. Unfortunately, I've not handed in any coursework yet for one module this semester, as the entire thing went over my head. I got diagnosed as dyslexic two weeks ago, so feel this has had an impact

Does anyone know if retaking the year is a possibility? I don't want lectures about "you should have got help before things got out of hand", or "it's your fault etc...", I just want to know if there's anyway I can put this all right.
