I'm soooo confused, my school keeps going on at me about thinking about university and I really want to sort out my future so that I'll be inspired for my A levels. Sigh I love writing, but recently a very critical teacher said I can't write, while another said that I can write but need confidence :P However my mum says she doesn't mind what I do, but I know that all my family would LOVE me to do law and believe that my personality and talents suit the career. But I daydream and think about possible stories all the time, but haven't had the confidence to put them down. Also there are many writers out there and not all of them make a good livelihood, maybe I'm being arrogant by assuming I could make it?

Any advice would be really helpful and I would really appreciate it

You could do English lit if you want to be less conventional.

    What do you want?
You seem to be leaning towards english

You should make your choice based on whatever YOU want, not your family

You're both right, I love english can't get enough of it. But I think I'm getting slightly tired of constantly analysing somebody else's work....That's why the creative writing interests me so much. Still law comes with a more certain future :P Thank you for your help
