Keep anon as I know people on here who will just think I'm being an idiot :/

Anyway, I have a date this saturday with a guy and it's the first date I've been on since I broke up with my ex, who I was with for three years.

I met this guy in a club when I was really really drunk and I'm worried (I'm a lot more outgoing and louder when I'm drunk) that he's going to not like me when he sees me sober :/ . And in any case, I'm not really used to the whole dating thing because I got with my ex when I was 14 and things were a lot different at that age!

So I don't actually know what I'm looking for from this thread, just some advice and also I have no idea what to wear. We're going to a pub (I'm a girl btw).
    thanks people of TSR.

It sounds cliche but be yourself! Also, dress comfortably..don't go wearing something that although may look nice you'd feel uncomfortable in all night.

Dating is weird, and just have a drink and a laugh..if it doesn't work out don't take it to heart, it's a funny old game and it's all part of enjoying!

    Good luck xx

Whatever you do, don't 'be yourself' - a lot of girls make that mistake and its a massive turnoff.

Be someone else, for example Nick Clegg or Oprah Winfrey (consider blacking up for this latter one).

Casually formal? A nice top with a skirt or jeggings or a summer dress with boots? Just be polite and act interested. Be genuine though. Best of luck!

I went on my first date with my boyfriend a couple of months ago. My previous relationship of 5 years had ended only a few weeks before that. I felt stupidly nervous and was worried that I wouldn't know what to do, but soon into the date all my nerves went away We went for a coffee and then on for a meal. You just have to push yourself to do it, what do you have to lose? Wear something that makes you feel good, suits you but also is comfortable. Good luck !
