A tenuous title and complete abuse of Shakespeare but Oh well!

Just wondering if there is any one out there who could offer me some advice..

Recently, in like the last 2-ish years I've been having more and more bisexual 'tendencies' (I guess you could call it..), I've never slept with a girl, kissed or had any type of intimate relationship with a girl, but I have started becoming more obsessive, sort of like having teenage crushes on girls that are gay/bi and some that are straight.

I'm not sure whether it's a mum issue (my mum died in 2002), or whether the feelings I'm having are genuine! It's really hard to tell! I'm not upset by my Mum anymore, but don't really have many other strong female relationships to judge it against.

The (crush?! ) list goes PE teacher at school, Gym Instructor, Lecturer at Uni and friend.. and I've kind of become more interested in gay/bi TV characters and celebs like Callie & Arizona in Grey's Anatomy and The L word..

Any help or advice would be muchly welcomed! Thanks x

Grow up, sleep with a woman and see if you still feel the same.

    Most likely bi-curious.

Just try it and find out...you'll either enjoy it or feel slightly dirty for a total of 3 days.

It seems to me that you're a bit too hung up on labels. 'Gay', 'straight' and 'bisexual' are just words at the end of the day, and feelings can be more complicated than that. Maybe you have a sexual interest in women. Maybe you'd like to go out with one. Maybe you find them attractive and exciting but don't want to go as far as sex. Maybe you're just a bit curious. Whatever you feel, you should feel free to act on it without worrying about whether this makes you bisexual or not. Just head to an LGBT club night, social event or something, stay open-minded and see whether you meet anyone interesting. Surely that's the only way to see how deep your feelings really go?

Also, what exactly is the difference between 'mummy issues' and 'genuine' feelings? What you feel is what you feel. Whether it's the product of your genetic makeup or the product of your life experiences really doesn't matter.

I'm in a similar position since beginning uni. I told one of my latest crushes when very drunk and she just turned round and said no im totally straight but in a nice way. I find when I go out now I'm actively more flirty with girls trying to find someone to experiment with. No luck yet. But my flatmates have noticed especially since I try it on with most girls I encounter. I think one of the reasons I do it is to get the attention of guys - using the stereotype of guys find girl-on-girl action hot.
I think it's just curiousity. I know ultimately I wanna find a nice man to spend the rest of my life with give me babies. But on my quest to find him I wanna try girls and maybe even a threesome. But I do prefer lesbian porn when masturbating or couples, never gay men.
Just have fun and try stuff out to establish what you really want.

Thanks for all the help! I think I'm just going to relax about it all a bit more and not worry about it!

By 'mum stuff' I just meant I don't have a strong female figure in my life and I'm not sure if I'm just missing that or if I want to have a relationship with a girl.. Trial and error I guess!!

I'll figure it all out! X
