    Am I right in thinking that overall government spending will actually INCREASE during the next decade, instead of the view that certain people of certain political affiliations would have us believe?

    Edit: Sorry to any of those that think that this question is a naive one, but I do think that many are unaware over whether or not spending is, in real terms increasing or not, including myself.

    But in real terms its about a 15% cut.

    Wrong in real terms it's just 3.7% as pointed out by the Institute of Economic Affairs
