    Hi

I'm trying to get fit - a bit of cardio, so I can at least run! I read around here a bit, saw HITT. Just wondered if that was the best starting method, or if anybody knows anything better.

I'm not really fit really, I'm not fat etc. but just not that fit.

    Thanks!

the word "fit" has really no meaning when it comes to goals mate. depending upon your goals the word "fit" may have a different meaning.

You need to set yourself a target, for example, i want to run 3miles in so many minutes within a few week and so fourth.

whats the purpose of wanting to get "fit" and run?

    This. Cardio-vascular endurance =/= fitness.
