Hey guys, whenever I eat apples my lower gums and my chin itch. It doesn't last all day just a couple of minutes. I washed the apple and everything.

Its just a shame cause I really like apples. Any ideas what it could be ?

Maybe it's the acid in the apples, I think that's probably most likely... You must have sensitive gums, though my chin does itch when I have apples!

Uh... hm. You could try eating apples with water, or some form of weak alkaline (Note: Washing your mouth with car battery fluid is NOT advisable )

Carrots, maybe? It's not ideal, I know... unless they have some sort of solution you can use. :/

Not a lot you can do.

Best to take it on the chin and be careful.

Peel the apple, then eat it.

The skin of an apple has many allergens.

Sounds like you might be slightly allergic to apples?
Same thing happens to me when I eat bananas (although that has only started in the last few years) but it's quite an intense tingling sensation.
