Hi, I'm sorry for another decision thread but I cannot chose between them! I've had AAA offers from both, and have researched all the main things accommodation, course content etc. I also have visited both and liked them.

After my research I preferred Leeds' course and accommodation better, but Manchester seemed more tolerant of accepting people who didn't make the grades. And Manchester has 250 places opposed to Leeds 185. I am predicted AAA but I'm worried I won't get it, I do French, Ancient history and English Lit, and have an A in psychology AS.

So do any people know which one is more highly thought of, what the cities are like? and which one is more tolerant of the scenario if you don't make the grades. I know I shouldn't base it on that, and I'm not. Also if any current students of any subject have any information of life there, that would be helpful! Any information would be really helpful!

    Thanks!

Swear Leeds said they had 256 places when I was at the open day?
I have offers from both but think I am going for Leeds
They gave out AAB offers so praying that they will be lenient!

Oh did they! wish i'd got one! Well I checked the website and it said for 2010 there was 185 places, so I assumed it would be similar! I hope this is true, at the moment I prefer Leeds, but was worried that they had less places. I want to make a decision by Monday, might have to wait and email them to check! thanks!

I know, I was gutted I didn't get one either!
Well I am pretty sure they get banging on about 4000 applicants and only 250 places so I hope its right!
Yeah I prefer Leeds It's so nice!
I will finally get to firm it when my final uni replies.
Maybe I will see you there!

Off the top of my head I believe that Manchester has a better reputation with regards to getting a job afterwards. Do check this though, Leeds is decent too.

I go to manchester, I know a couple of people this year who entered law very late re: clearing and external applications so I know manc are open to the idea. You have any specific questions about the course or anything about manc feel free to ask or pm me.

Sorry to crash your thread.. I would also like to hear about Leeds Law as I might be firming it quite soon. While I've also got an offer from Exeter, I think I'm more inclined to Leeds. Any more thoughts please?

I know very little about Leeds except that it is a good university generally speaking.

However, I'm studying law at Manchester at the minute and absolutely love it! The city, accommodation, university and course itself are ideal for me! I know many of my friends feel the same too, so I don't think it's a bad choice whatsoever.

I also know of a number of people who fell a little below the AAA requirements getting (AAB or A*AB etc) so I think there is a little bit of leeway to fall down, although not a lot, and I wouldn't bank on it, what with the university and course being so competitive.

If you have any more Manchester or law specific questions then feel free to PM me good luck x
