So I've finally decided its time to lose a bit of weight, the best way to do this I have decided is to get an exercise bike you get all the benefits of cycling without the downsides. Trouble is all the bikes I have looked at have a max user weight of a couple of stones lighter then my weight.

My question really is should I take too much notice of the recommendations or will it be okay?

    Thanks.

You must be pretty damn heavy then if you can't sit on an exercise bike without it potentially breaking. How heavy are you?

york bikes are pretty sturdy, as long as you dont swing about or mess around you should be fine tbh

This goes to near enough 19st, took 2 seconds to find on Argos website. If you're over that, you need to diet first, maybe jog and lots of walking.
