I have to say, this is one of the most easiest scenarios I have seen!

Usually you're given 1 or more text files that contain all the data - Which you may need to further break down into small tables in order to make easier and more sufficient relationships. The best way I can think of doing this section before hand is to just imagine what information they could give you. And then work out which would be the best way to arrange the data. Yes they might not give you any of the information that you may think of, but at least it gets you thinking of the possibilities.

To then create the registration I suppose you use a switchboard so that they only see the information they need too. I'm just a bit clueless how exactly I will get all the information to be sent to the required places and to check whether the password they enter when they sign in is correct or not.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Hi All

As this is a prototype does that mean we can have a set of usernames and the Password [teapot] in a database and then just show us inputting a username and password of their choice in the exam. As was done in a previous exam paper. Or is this more complicated. Im sure the book does not show this...

If anyone has got any ideas pls expand.

the text files are not out, and plus we dont get them before the exam... as far as i know anyway..

The text files will be available on edexcel website on 27th April but it will protected so only the one with edexcel online access will be able to download

Can anyone tell me how you do the unique username with 4 digits afterwards?

I understand that you will obviously have to use queries at some stage,

But still, anyone with any sort of information please say!

I have read through the scenario quite a few times and i can't seem to get my head around it. Is it just me or does anyone else find it confusing?

I've figured out how to do sign in forms (And you might already know how to do this, but hey)

All you do is create a form and change the view so that you can input data.

I'm just really baffled about creating a unique username with a 4 digit number afterwards, I mean - surely they can't be expecting us to remember a code? I asked my technician today and he said it is possible, so I suppose I just have to research about it!

How did you lot do in your previous units and test in AS?
