I really like the look of UCL biomed but I hear they get enough qualified people who actually have biomed as their first choice rather than someone with a medical statement who chose them as their 5th choice. So it is fairly uncertain as to whether you will get an offer from UCL.

So I was wondering what good biomed course can you apply to with quite good prospects of getting an offer, so you don't get 5 rejections?

    Thank you

Dunno biomed, but a favourite of mine is Clinical Sciences at Bradford. The top 20 in the first year get transferred onto the Leeds Med 2nd year, and the next 20 (ie 20-40th place) get onto the Leeds Med 1st year course.

So BSc Clinical Sciences at Bradford is amongst the best 'fifth choices' imo.

UCL can be a bit funny about being a 5th choice. Only apply there if you talk about your alevels in context to the subject your applying for. Though you then run the risk of loosing the medical context.
Bristol are good for a 5th choice, they dropped there offer from AAA to ABB for me (for biology) and they knew I was applying for medicine.
