    Not necessarily a high IQ, but you need to know what your doing and your science (especially physics!) and be able to think on your feet if a situation arises as chances are it will be life threatening

    You don't - you just need to be able to do extremely complex tasks (like understanding the most complex machines ever made)) - very quickly - 100% reliably - without any ****-ups (or you die). :eek:

    It just happens that people who can do that better than any of the other applicants probably have pretty good IQs
