I understand that you have one firm and one insurance choice, but I was told by one uni when i went to the open day that if you dont make it to your first choice (your firm choice), yes you would think you're safe in going to uni considering you have your insurance choice; but apparently it's most likely your insurance choice placement is given to someone who put that uni their first (firm) choice. (so in the end, you're likely to end up with no uni if you dont make it to your firm choice one) ...is this actually true?

If you don't get the grades for your firm but you do for your insurance, the latter HAS to take you.

I'd not go to that university that told you that because they are grossly ignorant of the process or they'll try that trick come results day.

As above, if you don't meet your offer for your firm uni but you do for your insurance uni, then the insurance uni has to take you.

as others have said this is nonsense, if you got the grades for your insurance but missed your firm offer your insurance has to take you. What uni said this?

its probally a ploy by hertfordshire to get people to put the uni as their firm choice rather than insurance. some unis try to say on results day we are full, but students shouldnt accept this- if you get the grades you have the right to the place.
