Retaking GCSE Maths to improve Graduate Scheme Applications as a Graduate watch

Just wondering if it was worth while, retaking GCSE maths(possibly English to) where I currently hold grades of C, to improve my chances during applications to relevant graduate training schemes? I'm currently completing my 3rd year at the University of Sussex (Bsc Geography), where I hope to achieve a 2.1, though when reviewing many graduate schemes they require particular grade boundaries prior to application.
In addition, are there alternative options available? such as other external qualifications which may be beneficial towards a graduate scheme application.
    Thanks

I would recommend redoing them- it shouldn't be hard. Actually most grad scheme recruitment process with have psychometric tests and you will definately need to spruce up your maths skills. Just depends on where you hope to apply to and how much it might cost?
