    My father died last June.

It me really hard and I shut off, until about November when everything came down on top of me and I was crying every several seconds. Ive slowly been getting better.

I hadnt thought about it for weeks and weeks. I just had this dream, where i swear to you...stupid as it sounds it was so life like and SO real. It was as real as if i were talking to you in person.

I woke up in shock. Has anyone else had this? Omg how weird is it?

I was that shocked i started crying! What an idiot...lol

So yeh experiences/thoughts? Im sure it meant nothing and just my subconscious because i miss him so, but it was just so harrowing.

Of course it's common, he's your father after all. And it's not necessarily a bad thing, even if you do start crying, and you should always try to make sure they're happy tears in remembering all the good things he was to you, and be happy that he was there rather than that he's gone.

    Tbh that's quite normal.

My dad almost 4 years ago and I had a dream about him 2 days ago.

Just because someone isn't present in your life doesn't mean you won't dream about them.

People randomly dream about celebrities or friends/acquaintances they no longer see.

    Dreams are unpredictable and random.

I've had a few dreams where I've come into contact with my dead Auntie.

The thing with dreams is, they are essentially just as real as real life, in terms of what is happening in your brain. People very commonly, including myself, mis=interpret dreams for reality sometimes, and people and places we have encountered in dreams which aren't real may seem real, and they have the potential to put false memories in your head.

Dreams are ****ed up, complicated things.
