I may consider straping a red band around one upper sleeve to give it a little bit of color. Just so I wouldn't look like I'm in the SS. Good idea?

Odd time of year to be buying a (mostly) wool coat.

I won't even lie, if I saw someone in a long dark coat with a red armband, my first thought would be that it had (possibly unintentional) fascist imagery going on :teehee:

I like it. In answer to your question, more like a submarine pilot for me.

It looks like it has multiple uses - it looks like a jacket someone would wear whilst planning to invade a country, you could also go to a funeral with it, go to a mosh pit with it, or climb on stage with Slipknot with it.

I love it. Please buy it and make me happy! I get 18th century, Victorian-era, Burton vibes from it.

funny you should say that. Because that was the look I was going for, just worried about the military look.

But as I read you post I ended up LSHMMFIMB

    It's not very militaristic.

But it's been two months since it's been cold enough to wear a coat like that. I presume you're either going to Svalbard for a few weeks or you're buying it for next year?

Whats the "LSHMMFIMB" supposed to mean?!?

But people need to dress like this more often - you obviously have good taste! I love Tim Burton and the Ichabod Crane/ Dorian Grey look. PLEASE BUY IT!

You'd look much, much, MUCH more like a Nazi with a red armband.
(Or like the lead singer of Fall Out Boy in the I Dont Care video, which is worse)

I have one like it, just dont wear it fully buttoned up. Or in summer.
