How can I convince my school to let me change one of my gcses? watch

Hello, I am in year 10 and I moved to my current school last April in year 9 when we were were picking our year 9 options so when it came to picking thew ones for my current school I did not give them much thought and ended up picking business btec.

So I really regret doing this and I tried to convince them to let me swap it for geography because they are both taught at the same time and I find it much more enjoyable however my attempts to change their minds failed because I had been given awful predictor grades mostly Ds and Cs and so they think I won't be able to handle the catch up work which is complete bull as I had gotten A/A* predictors in my previous school.

I have tried saying that you would let someone who just came to this school to choose whatever they like (which they do!) and I told them I always do my work in my business class even though I dispise it but my attempt failed.

I am now thinking of getting my mum in to vouch for me tragic and I want to know if anyone else has swapped subjects halfway through year 10 and what are some convincing arguments + could use?

    Advice is greatly appreciated!

Speak to them again and say: " Business is not a suitable subject for me, my potential will be better used in geography."

If they won't budge, try doing the first year as a distance learning course, enter yourself in to the exams and then see if you can pick it up in year 11?

I am not familiar with the geography course structure but I know it includes coursework which I think they have done so do you know how I will go about that?

Get your parents to make a huge fuss. Should work, if not just be very demanding and keep asking. Not alot else you can do :s
