Presents...

I'm a bit stuck/ lacking in inspiration at the moment... Just wondered if anyone had any bright ideas!
In a few weeks, it will be my boyfriend and I 's 'one year anniversary', as it were. I've made him a card, with is suitably soppy and romantic. However, he's mentioned vaguely that he's got me a present, for it. This hadn't really occured to me before, especially as Christmas is so close.
But I really want to get him something nice now. The thing is, that I'm completely lacking in ideas. I've made him a mixed CD before now, and I don't really think he'd appriciate flowers. I've given him soft toys (valentine's day) so that isn't really a new thing...
If anyone can think of something sweet/meaningful, would be really helpful!
Oh, and we're in a sort of distance relationship (he's away at uni,) so we've written long romantic letters before now, so another thing ruled off the list really!

Hummm, difficult. It's a lot easier for guys as they can just get jewellery etc. It really depends on what he's like; my boyfriend had just started uni so I was going to get him something nice to go in his room, like an interesting print or mirror (we broke up before then, that's beside the point).
Have you got any artistic talent? You could draw him a picture or something? Eh, I'm not so good on ideas...

Sometimes just giving a gift that you know they will love (be it a book or something fun for thier room-I was once given the coolest lamp) can be just as thoughtful as something soppy and romantic because it shows well you know a person

if youre in a long distance thing, get him a swanky pen like a nice one in a box... it will be a nice manly present but at the same time a symbol of your love and a reference to your letters that maintain it... lol that what i did

Eh... it's difficult, isn't it? It was my boyfriends 19th last week and I struggled for ages what to get him... so I took him shopping and bought up all of Primark (or so it seemed  ) - it's really cheap there I managed to buy him about 6 different outfits.

But I understand you want to get him something meaningful... I bought a little book of sports insults just to show I care a few weeks ago. So do something random like that- if he's a random person. What does he really love? For instance, I got him this book because he's absolutely crazy about sports. And it was a little random but he loved it because it was different. If you can think of something different, but meaningful, that might be the trick.
