Had a filling yesterday that was sprung on me during a checkup. Because I mentioned some gum soreness after biting into some bread and biting plastic. Dentist has a look and said I had dislodged an old filling and wedged it somehow between my teeth.

He had to drill down and get rid of the old filling, which was a bit bad, not painful as I was numb but he at one point had to use another tool as well as the drill which sounded like a drill used in roadworks and made my head vibrate.

So anyway,he got rid of it,and I have a new filling. But today I have sensitivity in that tooth, just with cold things . Is this normal?

I've got to have two little ones on thursday How was it? Did you have an injection?

In answer to your question, yes sensitivity is normal I think and it can usually last for up to a month after you have had the filling. If it helps, you can get some toothpastes that help to reduce the sensitivity.

Yeah I had the injection, that hurt ,but the filling itself didn't which I was surprised about as mine was a little complicated because an old filling got stuck between my teeth. . If yours are little ones ,it will be over before you know it.
