ok this might sound ridiculous but i am currently volunteering abroad and we all have to sleep on the floor of a canteen: very hard stone floors.

my bf has lent me his sleeping mat which he said was an inflating one. it was a tiny bit up but mainly flat all night.

help me because i actually want to sleep more than 2 hours tonight!!

Well it depends on the mat. Is it an air filled one with a pump? Electric?

Blow into it or use a pump if it is manual
    Edit: Some are self-inflating!

if its a thermarest style self inflating one... undo the valve and leave it a few minutes. it'll self inflate, blow a few breaths of air into it to get it firm, then close the valve again.

If it started off inflated, but ended up flat during the night, have you considered the possibility that it may have a puncture?

Like a sex doll; blow it.
