General rep whoring (truth, but the same goes for about 50% of all Conservatives at some point).
You'd never catch me rep whoring... unless I am whoring for negs that is

There are other parts of this site where it used to be such a huge problem. There used to be huge disagreements about it as well, but it's generally been sorted now.

Haha, I do have about the same twenty people regularly repping me I guess.

Also, just had my first pan fire. Too much oil, small pan, lots of fire. Totally nearly blew up the house. Awesome.

Reminds me of a brilliant 2dtv sketch when someone has a fire...

What do I do? Hmm matches.
    Ahh it's getting worse.
    Petrol.
    Ahh
    I know, flame thrower...

    *house falls down*

    That put it out.

Why facepalm? So what if the MPs want to talk about Ryan Giggs.

    Why the facepalm?
The situation ultimately warranted it. Foreign newspapers were freely reporting it, Twitter and Facebook (albeit to a lesser extent) and other sources were doing the same. The super-injunction is ridiculous given that it has been so widely flouted.

I bet Acumen's calmed down a bit since it doesn't have to keep making sure no one has mentioned Giggs any more.

Exactly, so I was wondering why t_c disapproved of it.

Why the facepalm? Ryan Giggs is a ****. Glad that an MP decided to name him rather than referring to him as a 'married footballer' when everyone knows who it is anyway. The dirty sleaze bag shouldn't have had the ****ing affair if he doesn't want people to talk about it.

I think what's needed is the abolition of prior restraint of the press in all these cases. Obviously cases of disrupting juries etc wouldn't be included , but all others should only be able to be tackled by subsequent damages claims.

There's a case for using injunctions to stop the media from printing lies, but when you use them to quash the truth, well that's just undefendable IMHO.

I've started speaking to a friend of a friend on Facebook. Any ideas on how I should ask her out over the summer?
