Yeah, I would definitely watch it - it was certainly interesting to say the least. Someone of the cases were shocking

My NHS dentist seems to have lost all my family's records since he moved building - and I don't know where he moved to either.

My doctor accidentally booked me in for 3 separate blood tests on the same day so I got angry letters through the post asking that, in future, I should notify them when I cancel an appointment.

Ahh, slight **** up there then! My only real problem with the NHS is that it took them the best part of a year bouncing me around between physios, specialists, and GPs before they booked me in for my knee op - but once I had the surgery everything was fine.

 at least your hospital notice when you have appointments, mine doesn't seem to notice and never send out reminders for those appointments that have been made 6 months in advance and it was them that created the appointment not me

You'd never catch me rep whoring... unless I am whoring for negs that is
Who negged me for this? I swear people just search me out to neg me as I have had several posts (not all jokey, some where a simple question) negged recently and it is like people have a vendetta against me

At least call me out on it too instead of being a coward, may get a sub just to find out who it is that keeps doing it

I've already had a moan about the NHS and my diabetes. Been diagnosed for a fortnight now and no-one seems to think I should see a diabetes specialist to discuss diet or exercise or complications. Mostly getting my information from WebMD, the Health forum and Men's Health online. Not good.

Really? My dad was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes about 2 years ago and the first thing they did was spend him and my mum to a class explaining the implications of becoming diabetic, what to avoid when shopping (specifically the things like diabetic ice cream), and generally how to handle it. They also make him go see a nutritionist every quarter (which he always tries to avoid...). Haven't they offered anything like that to you?

Is there not any information on NHS Direct that can help you?

No but I'll be seeing a doctor on Friday (which'll be 3 weeks since I was diagnosed) who I will ask to recommend me to a specialist. For the mean time I'm just not eating too much sugar and going on a normal, sensible diet. My blood sugar has been fine since I started the medication so I'm not worried.

Yeah there's a bit but it's nothing more than common knowledge.

I can't remember how long it took them to sort those things out (as it was a while ago), but I think it was within a month of his first diagnosis.

I just hope you don't do what my dad's done and stop drinking so much coffee and switch to sweeteners - that's all he's done since he's been diagnosed.

Really? Well that's a bit silly, why have a dedicated NHS website that doesn't offer anything that couldn't be found else where...

Wait till you do a self diagnoses... it then tells you to phone NHS Direct and gives no help what so ever
