    It's the thought that counts

The system is so frustrating. I remember reading there is meant to be a review of the system at some point - when will this occur.
I'm not sure, I hope soon though, it's pretty harsh on people who don't use multiple forums.

We had lots of Germans and a lovely Scouser who kept shouting at them to shut the **** up. Twas a fun stay!
oh that reminds me, we went to Berlin the other week, and sitting in Alexanderplatz, then a bunch of British guys cycled up to this random German girl next to us, and were being well... you can guess :facepalm2:

Indeed. There will be some changes I'm sure as very few people seem completely happy with things.

IS it true that high ranking Israeli officials such as Tzipi Livni cannot visit this country without fear of being arrested, but Moussa Koussa is allowed to come and go as he pleases? I saw it on question time and was a little confused.

There was something about that yes. The individual in question wouldn't be granted diplomatic immunity or something - disgraceful in my opinion.

Just goes to show the outrageousness of some of our standards.

I never understand why the left, in general (I know this is a generalisation) support Arab states above Israel, when Israel has the best record on women's rights, gay right's, is the most democratic country in the region (with almost complete PR) and allows opposition parties instead of murdering them. You just need to look at the way Hamas treats Palestinian women...

World's oldest man dies, aged 114.

His wife of 35 years, Agnes Twokey, died childless in 1957.
Hard to comprehend. Outliving your wife by over half a century.

Chris Huhne has made a huge fallacy in his argument. He assumes that because one doesn't vote in favour of someone means that they are voting against them. That's just untrue. I voted Conservative in the general election but that doesn't mean I voted against UKIP, or against the Liberal Democrats, I just didn't vote in favour of them.

Then he makes another fallacy of attacking the No Campaign because the BNP are against AV...
Not quite. In many cases it's wrong to say this, but in others it isn't. I voted Labour in the local elections but I was really casting the most likely vote to beat the Conservatives.

Huhne was making an assumption. Don't do the same thing, it weakens your own argument.

I believe they are getting a few members, some of whom are credible. However, the Admins won't let there be a party called TSR BNP because they don't want to be associated with them. Thus, the party will have to come up with a new name.

Isn't it just a clone of the British version, but with Americans in it?
