I stopped watching after one episode - it is just the british version toned down with worse acting and directing. I am disappoint.
Isn't that the case with most American adaptations of British dramas etc?

    Pretty much, yes.

A British version of BBT would be crap however.

Ok. I have to write a History essay, 2,000 words. I have to not write like a Politics student but like a Historian. Choose my question, barmates.

"Is the age of imperialism over?" or "Is liberal democracy an egalitarian form of rule?"

The former. Far more scope for historical analysis, and analysis of past trends of imperialism and how they may or may not be continuing now.

Mm, thought so. The latter question is easy to answer, but extremely hard to squeeze marks out of according to the mark scheme.

    Episode two has lesbianism.

In all seriousness though, it really does get better.

But why not just watch the good, British version?

I agree with the above - although would probably choose the latter personally as I think it would be easier to write in one go with little/no research. This is a **** reason if you want to get a good mark though.

I have. I just don't think you should write off the US version, based solely on the first episode.

That's fair enough then, you are probably right. It's just I know the storyline as well. I will try the second episode in a bit but I'm watching some friends first and then I'm going to start Voyager again.

Fair enough. You will want to update your signature, and maybe join one of the parties that already exists

Yeah, they closed it and put all their programmes on to other BSkyB owned channels, so you need a Sky sub to watch a lot of them.

Virgin never should have sold it.
